Real Stories, Delivered

We’ve delivered hundreds of thousands of messages to Congress. Here’s few of them...

I believe that I’m preaching to the choir when I share my concerns with you. I trust you. Thank you for everything you’re doing. Especially since I believe I am no longer represented in the Senate. “Our” senators just rubber stamp everything that Trump wants. Thank God there is YOU!

By telling sitting members of Congress to go back to where they came from, Trump has reached a new low and struck another frightening blow to the unity and soul of our wonderfully diverse country. How must new Americans, people of color and anyone that doesn’t fit Trump’s racist profile be feeling right now?

As a member of The House, you’re uniquely positioned to stand up and fight Trump’s racist agenda in a meaningful way. Thank you for supporting H.RES.489, which forced House members to go on record in condemnation of his racist blathering.

There’s still so much more you can do. Please keep fighting and fight hard!

Thank you.

I shouldn’t be shocked, but I am...

I was born in International Falls in 1953 and am the mother of 4 biracial children, having married a man from Nigeria. Although my 4 children are American citizens born abroad in Nigeria during my 10 year residency there back in the late 70’s and 80’s.
I’m very concerned that they may one day be “sent back to where they came from”. I’m also fearful of what would become of my 9 biracial grandchildren having to navigate life without their parents!

PREVAIL ON REPUBLICANS TO REMOVE TRUMP BY ARTICLE 25, SECTION 4. All psychologists attest to Trump’s dangerous mental illness. One said he displays EVERY ILLNESS KNOWN TO PSYCHIATRY. ANOTHER SAYS THE OCCUPANT IS A PSYCHOPATH—along with being paranoid and a “malignant narcissist.” Of course, they all say he is getting worse by the day.

Do you let a mentally ill person with nuclear bombs continue in office? That would possibly end the gun debate for all time. The 27 “Need-to-know” experts have warned of this in their 2017 book: “ The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.”

WE ARE OUT OF TIME. REMOVE AND REPLACE BOTH OF PUTIIN’s PUPPETS —PENCE AND TRUMP. According to Malcolm Nance on page 228 of “ The Plot to Destroy Democracy,” Putin picked Pence as Trump’s running mate in May 2011. Let Pelosi be president until the 2020 election.

Since when did the EPA become the enemy of the environment?

Restore potable water to Flint, Michigan!
Let's protect our Florida waterways, our coastlines, our National Parks. Florida is too vulnerable to destruction by depredations of big corporations.

Every week, I read headlines about the EPA rolling back sensible regulations in service of big biz and greed. The EPA exists to protect our home and our health—not sell out to heinous corporate interests.

Let's move forward with a sustainable plan of action that not only helps the earth but also opens the door to new and effective sources of energy. It can be done...

Please be strong, do what's right and resist Trump's insanity before it’s too late!

I am writing you today to ask for your support of the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights presented by Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Sen. Kamala Harris.

Please support the nannies, housekeepers, and home health care workers who are excluded from basic labor protections. Many workers tolerate low or no pay, discrimination and harassment at work. As a family caregiver myself I know how undervalued domestic work is. Billthepatriarchy.com helped me calculate my salary for just one year would have been $140,000.

This bill is crucial step in showing up for domestic workers and I hope you will join me in standing with workers who make all other work possible.

Since when did the EPA become the enemy of the environment? I have been a lifelong student of science and biology and have been increasingly concerned about the damage we are doing to our environment and the lack of understanding that politicians have of the vital importance of maintaining the balance so that we can have the critically essential clean air, water and food. Even wildlife is crucial to this balance, in ways that not many understand or appreciate. Without a healthy environment, we are doomed.

Remember, what we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves. And Mr. McConnell, your money will not save you from climate change.

Other than greed, there’s no reason some of the wealthiest companies in the U.S should charge up to 30% interest on their credit cards!

In a time when 40% of Americans have less than $400 for emergencies on hand—credit card and payday loans are often their only option. Exorbitant rates ensnare hard-working folks that have no other options. This greed has to be checked. Usury laws are nothing new and should be brought back.

As a pastor in Texas over many years, I received tearful requests from people asking for money to help repay payday and title loans they had taken out in desperation during emergencies. The church could help a bit but couldn't grant their requests in full. I was angry that decent, hard-working people were caught in this "perfectly legal" trap. It should not be legal.

Please work with your colleagues to support this important legislation that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Sanders have brought forth.

I want to voice my support for the Green New Deal and the progress it stands for! It's about time something got brought forth. This resolution and the laws it would implement is our best chance at solving the climate crisis.

Time is running out... This is not the time for playing it safe or sucking up to big biz. Please work with your colleagues to further a movement whose time has come!
